Pochettino finally reveals possible Chelsea signing before January transfer window ends

Mauricio Pochettino has refused to give anything away regarding Chelsea’s plans for the current transfer window, as January gradually comes to a close.

The Blues are yet to sign any player this month, despite being linked with a host of names in the last few weeks.

There have also been rumours over a few names departing Stamford Bridge, including Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja, who reports say the club are willing to sell at the right price.

Pochettino was asked about these rumours during his latest press conference, as Chelsea prepare to take on Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday, but the Argentine was tight-lipped, and instead stated: “At the moment, [there is] no news.

“We cannot update in any way. It’s all so quiet and I think that’s a good thing because we are working well.”

On any potential additions, he added: “No update. No news about players that can come in.”

So far, the only major transfer business that Chelsea have been involved in was the deal that saw Ian Maatsen move to Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of season.
