Chelsea Boss Frank Lampard will be keen to keep Manchester United’s front three quiet at Wembley and that could see Marcos Alonso omitted from the starting eleven tomorrow.
The Spaniard is not great defensively, and Lampard will likely opt to move Cesar Azpilicueta across to the left with Reece James coming in on the right to go up against Marcus Rashford.
However, Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma are expected to keep their places at centre-back.
Mason Mount was rested against Norwich and he is likely to come in for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has yet to regain his form after a long injury layoff. Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho could play the holding roles in midfield with N’Golo Kante still sidelined with a hamstring problem.
Up front, Lampard could well spring a surprise by starting Tammy Abraham but, after scoring in his last game, it would be harsh to drop Olivier Giroud. Willian and Christian Pulisic are expected to line up on the flanks.
Chelsea’s possible lineup to face Manchester United:
Kepa, James, Rudiger, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Willian, Giroud, Pulisic
