PSG midfielder aim digs at Chelsea boss Tuchel
Paris Saint Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes has taken aim at Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
Paredes insists Paris Saint Germain’s players are now happier working for new coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Tuchel was sacked by Paris Saint Germain earlier this season on Christmas Eve before being replaced by former Tottenham manager Pochettino in Paris over the New Year.
While with Paris Saint Germain, Tuchel won two Ligue 1 titles, a Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue, plus led the team to last season’s Champions League final.
For Paredes, he admits he’s much happier playing for fellow Argentine Pochettino than the now Chelsea manager Tuchel. The midfielder insisting Paris Saint Germain’s players needed a lift from a change of coach.
He told TF1 via Mundo Deportivo: “Much has changed with Mauricio Pochettino.
“Before, there were things that did not work. We all needed a mental change.
“Now we work much more as a team than before.”
So far this season, Paredes has managed 26 appearances for Paris Saint Germain, creating three assists. The 26 year-old has a deal in Paris to 2023.
