Blues to make Potential shock transfer move, Abramovich wants 33goals a season player, as defender agrees deal with Chelsea

Chelsea target world-class No.10 striker on free transfer from PL rivals

According to reports, Chelsea are considering a swoop for Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero at the end of the campaign.

The 32-year-old star’s current contract with the Premier League giants is due to expire in the summer and an agreement is yet to be reached over a fresh deal.

Earlier this month, reports in Argentina stated that Barcelona have already submitted an offer to Aguero as they are keen for the player to link up with his Argentina teammate Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.

But according to MailOnline, the west Londoners are also in the race and are keeping a close eye on Aguero’s current situation at City.

The report states that Chelsea have been ‘long-term admirers’ of Sergio and are now weighing up a move to land the striker on a free transfer this summer.

The South American has started just four games in the Premier League this campaign due to injury and illness.

Speaking about Sergio’s future at City beyond the end of the season, Pep said this month: ‘As a human and as a person, even as a player of course but we have to see what happens at the end of the season.

‘We cannot forget how long he was out. He has started getting better. I know he needs minutes to get to his best condition but we are not maybe in the moment to give him minutes for minutes because it is an important part of the season.

‘We have to be calm, the club will speak to his agent to know the situation and we are going to talk at the end of the season. It’s the same with Fernandinho.’

Chelsea owner wants to sign 33-goals goal machine for his club

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is allegedly ready to make Borussia Dortmund centre-forward Erling Braut Haaland his primary target this summer transfer market.

The Norwegian ace has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the Bundesliga, with the west Londoners along with Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Manchester City all believed to be interested in the player’s services.

The Daily Star adds that Chelsea are determined to land Haaland this summer ahead of their European rivals, and Roman has told head coach Thomas Tuchel that the Blues will make a strong push for the 20-year-old if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

The talent is understood to have a release clause in his existing contract worth around £65m, which can be triggered in the summer of 2022.

However, Chelsea hope to steal a march on their rivals by going for Erling this summer and are prepared to submit an offer that Dortmund would find difficult to refuse.

The German side would likely ask for around £100 million this summer if they are prepared to sell the forward, who only joined the club in the winter of 2020.

Haaland has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this campaign, netting 33 goals and providing eight assists.

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva is set to sign a one-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge.

After deciding to leave PSG in the summer to seek a fresh challenge in the game, Chelsea made their move very quickly to try and convince the Brazilian icon to make the move to the Premier League.

And Silva, 36, signed a one-year deal at Stamford Bridge with the option of a second when he joined the Blues as a free agent last summer, a move that has been praised by many who believe that he has made that back-line alot more solid.

And according to recent reports, Silva wants to activate that option and Chelsea are expected to keep the experienced defender for another campaign, as Thomas Tuchel is eager to keep the player that he did not want to let leave PSG last season

Many doubted the quality of Silva and whether he could still compete at the very highest level of the game, but he has come to Chelsea and proven that he is still one of the very best central defenders in the game right now.

So if the reports are true and he now wants to make sure that he stays with the club, it is some great news for Chelsea, as there were a few rumours that a few clubs were eyeing up a possible deal.

Since his move to the Premier League, Silva has been a revelation in that back-line for Chelsea, and it is easy to see just why he wants to stay, he is enjoying his football in the Premier League.

But we still firmly believe that Chelsea need to add another defender, or two, to that defence to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League next season
