Pulisic explains why he passed the ball to Abraham instead of shooting himself from favorable spot

Christian Pulisic has admitted he needs to find his ‘scoring touch’ again as he was discussing his chance to put the ball in the net in the Newcastle game.

Instead of taking the shot himself, Pulisic decided to make a pass to Tammy Abraham who was seemingly in a better position.

However, his shot was blocked by a defender and the score remained 1-0.

“I was going to shoot last-second, but I saw Tammy wide open and then DeAndre made an unbelievable block, so maybe I should have shot it,

” Pulisic told ESPN about that moment. “I just don’t have that scoring touch but I know it will come back.”

Before that, Pulisic helped score the game’s only game, as his pass found Callum Hudson-Odoi who assisted Marcos Alonso.

“It was a really good game, happy for the team, had a strong performance, they defended really well, and I was happy to make an impact,” Pulisic added.
