Real Madrid ready to sell £50m flop to Chelsea this summer

Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is to be offered to Tottenham and Chelsea as Los Blancos look to offload the forward in the summer, according to reports.

Jovic was one of the Spanish club’s marquee signings the previous summer costing £50 million from Frankfurt but has netted just two goals in all competitions for the Spaniards this campaign.

Amid his struggles for form, Luka landed himself in hot water when the ace ignored coronavirus guidelines after flying home to Serbia the previous week.

The Mirror state Jovic was given permission to leave self-isolation to fly home, but the Galacticos were unimpressed to discover he disregarded his country’s own coronavirus safeguards. The forward was forced to apologise, saying: ‘I am very sorry that some people did not do their jobs professionally and did not give me instructions on how to behave regarding isolation.

‘In Spain I was allowed to go to the pharmacy and the supermarket, which isn’t the case here.’ In spite of Jovic’s attempt to shift blame, Los Blancos want to sell the under-performing goalscorer in the summer.

Chelsea and Tottenham were vying for Luka’s signature before he joined Real last summer and the PL duo will be given the chance to sign him at the end of the current term.

Real’s attempts to offload Serbia international may be complicated by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Football is currently suspended in the United Kingdom and Spain and postponed matches are expected to be played during the summer.

Jose Mourinho and Frank Lampard are planning big transfer windows for their respective clubs, but the opening of the window might be delayed after the PL announced the current campaign had been extended indefinitely.
