German champions Bayern Munich have joined the race for Chelsea forward Willian and are considering signing him on a free transfer this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The 31 year old Brazilian will be out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree terms on a new contract with the Blues.
Chelsea have offered Willian a two-year deal but there has been no breakthrough on agreeing fresh terms after the Brazilian demanded a three-year extension.
Despite starting 28 games for Chelsea in all competitions this season, the Blues are unwilling to meet Willian’s demand of a three year contract.
Willian’s situation at Chelsea is also being monitored by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Willian has said that he would prefer to stay in London, whichever club he plays for next season and he could turn down Bayern Munich for either Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal if he fails to agree a new deal with Chelsea.
