According to journalist Ciro Venerato, Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri is interesting a number of Italian clubs, with Napoli leading the way to sign the 25-year-old in the summer,
It is believed that the Partenopei have already tabled a contract to the Blues defender, as they seek a replacement for fullback Faouzi Ghoulam who is expected to be sold at the end of the season.
Napoli have reportedly offered Emerson a five-year contract, worth €3m (£2.64m) a season, which works out at roughly £50,000 a week.
Whether the Italian international would accept such a proposal, it remains to be seen, but there is every chance he could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Manager Frank Lampard has opted to use captain Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back this campaign, and he is said to be eyeing a new signing to strengthen his options in that position.
Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, Porto’s Alex Telles, Bayern Munich’s David Alaba and Atalanta’s Robin Gosens have all been linked in recent weeks, and it does appear that Emerson’s days at the club could be numbered.
