According to Daily Star, Chelsea are preparing to submit an official bid for Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan in the coming days.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard isn’t a fan of Chelsea’s record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga and intends to replace the Spaniard this summer.

Despite paying £71million to sign him from Atletico Bilbao, Kepa has struggled for consistency at Chelsea and Maignan has been identified as a replacement for Kepa.

Maignan was an ever-present for Lille last season and would cost around £27m, according to Sky Sports .

He has played for France at every international level from U16 to U21 and has also been called into the senior squad.
