Last week we bought you a story with the latest Chelsea transfer news from Italian guru Gianluca Di Marzio.
He suggested that for Chelsea to sign a new left back to replace one of either Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri, it would likely be as a swap deal for one of their interested parties. Juventus are named as one of the clubs that would be interested in signing Emerson from Chelsea, sparking talk of Alex Sandro to Chelsea once again.
Chelsea have historically attempted to sign Sandro, and could potentially get offered a chance to sign him once again if Juventus do pursue Emerson.
The idea of swap deals has been confirmed by Juventus’ chief football officer Fabio Paratici, who has said that due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will see some ‘peculiar’ deals this summer.
As reported by Goal, Paratici has said that the club will be looking at swap deals going forward.
He said: “It will be a peculiar summer. We need ideas, [something like] swap deals and other new things for the next summer transfer market.”
