A number of players are expected to leave Chelsea this summer, with Frank Lampard set for a major overhaul this summer, as the Blues boss seeks to rebuild a squad capable of fighting for the title next season.
One of such players expected to leave this summer, is Michy Batshuayi. It hasn’t really worked for the Belgian at Stamford Bridge, and after three different loan spells, he’s now set to leave the club.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Newcastle United are interested in signing the 26-year-old.
Michy Batshuayi does not feature in Lampard’s plans for next season, and didn’t even feature for the team after the restart.
According to reports, Chelsea are looking to get at least €25M for the underperforming forward and it remains to be seen if any club will be willing to pay that amount for a player with one year left on his deal.
According to Get French Football News, Michy Batshuayi’s agent has offered newly promoted Leeds the chance to sign his client.
