According to Daily Express, Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia is reportedly set to focus more of her time on signing Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell this week.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard desperately wants a new left-back and has made Chilwell his top priority and Granovskaia wants to ensure she grants Lampard his wish this week.
Leicester aren’t willing to let Chilwell go on the cheap and will demand around £80million – just like they made Manchester United pay for Harry Maguire last summer.
However, the Blues are unwilling to pay that much for the England international after already spending over £80m on Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
If Granovskaia is unable to sign Chilwell, she will reportedly turn her attention to signing Nicolas Tagliafico of Ajax.
