Reports: Raphinha ‘will not enter’ salary negotiations with Chelsea due to one condition
Raphinha, a winger for Leeds United, apparently doesn’t want to talk salary negotiations with Chelsea since he wants to move to Barcelona this summer.
However, despite the fact that his original club Leeds reached a deal with the Blues earlier this week, SPORT has revealed that the Brazilian will be the one to decide his future.
After a standout season with Leeds the previous time around, Raphinha, 25, has been linked with Barcelona, Chelsea, and Arsenal. According to reports, Chelsea made a £60 million bid to the Peacocks for the Brazilian forward, but he would prefer to join the Blaugrana.
According to the SPORT story, the Brazilian has requested that his representative Deco halt the west London club’s pursuit and is not interested in engaging in personal negotiations.
It puts the Blues’ contract with Raphinha in jeopardy, and the Nou Camp team could be able to grab the player from the Premier League team’s grasp.
The Leeds winger’s current contract at Elland Road expires in two years, and he is eager to move to the Nou Camp this summer. He had a successful campaign for the Peacocks last year, making 36 appearances, scoring 11 goals, and adding three assists.
On the other side, Ousmane Dembele is officially a free agent after his agreement with Barcelona expired yesterday. His predicament might have an interesting outcome because it might have an impact on Rapha, Chelsea, and Barca.
