Revealed: Player agreed personal terms with Chelsea before Roman Abramovich sanctions
Due to the sanctions placed on Abramovich, Chelsea are banned from any transfer activity including offering players new contracts.
However, according to Bild via GOAL, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger had agreed personal terms for a new contract which would’ve seen him extend his time at Stamford Bridge, although signing on fees had not yet been settled.
However contract negotiations could not be finalised due to the sanctions placed on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
This has raised interest from clubs such as Man Utd, Real Madrid and PSG who are all rumoured to be after the German international’s signature.
The Blues have a number of deals expiring this summer, including defenders Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.
