‘Roman Abramovich reveals why he does not want Chelsea to turn into an Arsenal or a Tottenham Hotspur’
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants his club to drastically close to gap on league winners Manchester City from next season.
The Blues are starting to look the business, and they have managed to get to the final of the Champions League, which alone is a great achievement.
But they once again find themselves battling up until the final game of the season to make sure they secure Champions League football for next season by finishing in the top four of the Premier League.
This is what Abramovich wants to avoid going forward, according to Matt Law in his latest newsletter today in The Telegraph.
Law says that ‘Roman Abramovich does not want Chelsea to turn into an Arsenal or a Tottenham Hotspur’, by celebrating Champions League qualification as a massive achievement every season.
Make no mistake, Roman wants Chelsea back to the top of world football, and he will stop at nothing to get them there.
But in the meantime, we certainly massively celebrated the win over Leicester City last night to put us back in to third place in the league!
