Roman Abramovich sends text message to Maurizio Sarri to demand answers to recent slump

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has sent a text message to head coach Maurizio Sarri after the Blues’ latest defeat to Bournemouth.

The 4-0 loss to the Cherries on Wednesday was Chelsea’s heaviest since a 5-1 loss in the Premier League to Liverpool in 1996, as per Sky Sports Statto on Twitter.

The result leaves the six-time Champions outside the top four for the first time this season, as the battle heats up between Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Eddie Howe’s side dealt Chelsea their fifth defeat of the campaign to further hand a big blow to their chances of winning the Premier League or qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Daily Mail says Sarri asked to be driven back to West London, alone to further assess his team’s unconvincing display at the Vitality stadium.

Now the Times report that Abramovich sought answers to Chelsea’s recent poor form and has sent a text message to Sarri. The result leaves the six-time Champions outside the top four for the first time this season, as the battle heats up between Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
