Ross Barkley has commented on Chelsea’s performance against Burnley at Turf Moor.

The midfielder has helped The Blues get three points and scored the third goal of the game with an accurate shot from outside the penalty box.

“We put in a top drawer performance today. We are growing, we have momentum game by game and we can continue to improve. I believe we can stay in the title race.”

Ross Barkley has now scored three goals for Chelsea in the Premier League including his last-gasp equaliser against Man United at Stamford Bridge (2-2).

The 24-year-old midfielder has also provided his teammates with four assists since the start of the season, averaging a rating of 6.96 as per WhoScored.

Maurizio Sarri has praised the Englishman for his solid impact on the game against the Clarets: “He’s improved in the defensive phase and he has improved his physical condition because the last season for him was very difficult with a very serious injury. He stopped the activity for six months.

Now he’s improving the physical condition. He’s a very good player from a technical point of view. He’s improved the defensive phase. Now I think Ross is complete.”
