Sad news: Chelsea star out until October after picking up injury on international duty

Ruben Loftus-Cheek injured hit foot whilst on England duty and as such, he’s set to be out for around two weeks.

That means that the midfielder, who looked set to get some minutes on the pitch in Chelsea’s upcoming midweek games,

could be unavailable for the upcoming games against Cardiff, PAOK and West Ham, as well as the consecutive games against Liverpool.

Loftus-Cheek hasn’t been able to force his way into Maurizio Sarri’s team at the start of the season,

but as the fixture list becomes more congested due to the Europa League and the League Cup, the England international looked like he was going to get some much-needed game time.

However, this injury looks set to sideline the 22-year-old,

which will be a major blow as Loftus-Cheek is determined to show Sarri that he deserves to be included in his matchday squad on a regular basis.
