Long-term Chelsea target Jadon Sancho has refused to rule out a future move back to the Premier League.
Now we all know that Chelsea were unable to go out and splash the cash on some big named players as they were banned from acquiring any players for at least two transfer windows, and although they did appeal the ban, they only managed to tie down a permanent deal for Mateo Kovacic and bring in Christian Pulisic.
News boss Frank Lampard has a massive job on his hands trying to get the best out of the experienced players, while also giving the younger generation more of a chance at Stamford Bridge, as he could not improve the squad.
But with the sales of a number of first-team players, the Blues made a massive £130 million in sales this summer and that is to be reinvested into the club next summer, as Lampard will reportedly get around £200 million to spend on new players.
And the Chelsea boss should go out and buys a number of top-class signings, and Sancho should be high up on the shopping list.
The 19-year-old England international, who left Manchester City to join the Bundesliga outfit in 2017, emerged as a top summer target for Chelsea, but Dortmund refused to sell and Chelsea were unable to make a firm offer as they were suspended from doing any deals.
However, his long-term future will lie away from Dortmund, though – something the club accepts – and Dortmund chief Watzke was clear that he would have to discuss Sancho’s future again come the end of the 2019/20 campaign
‘I feel that every league is very competitive. The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, everyone knows that.’
The lad is a creative force and was one of the top assist players in Europe last season, and considering Chelsea are seeking an immediate ready-made replacement for Eden Hazard, could Sancho be the answer to their problems?
