Snubbed a new six-year contract leave my club now – Todd Boehly tells Chelsea player

According to The Sun, Chelsea have told Edouard Mendy that he can leave this summer.

Mendy, 30, snubbed a new six-year contract over the salary offered – which did not rival Kepa Arrizabalaga’s contract.

Mendy has lost his place as Chelsea no.1 goalkeeper this season and now looks set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Mendy, who has kept 49 clean sheets in 104 games for the Blues, arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2020 and helped the Blues to Champions League and Club World Cup success before falling out of favour this season when Graham Potter was in charge.

Mendy will have just one year left on his Chelsea contract at the end of the season and he has been told he can leave the club this summer.
