‘Sorry the boy only wanted Chelsea’: Agent says his star player was only interested in Stamford Bridge move
Moises Caicedo’s agent Andrea Pellegatti has stated that the midfielder only wanted to join Chelsea.
Before his move to Stamford Bridge, Fabrizio Romano reported that Moises Caicedo had told Liverpool that his desire was to sign for Chelsea amid interest from the Reds, and Pellegatti has now confirmed that.
Speaking to Sport Italia about the transfer, he said: “It was finalised in the last few hours, but the boy only wanted Chelsea, who had started to express their interest in a consistent manner since January.”
While Caicedo may have got his dream move in the end, the 21-year-old will be a bit disappointed with how things are going so far.
He is currently out injured and has been at fault for a couple of goals Chelsea have conceded, which includes Nottingham Forest’s winner just before the international break where he was dispossessed before Anthony Elanga eventually dispatched.
Caicedo has obviously not been at Chelsea for long, though. A player of his quality will surely turn it around soon.
