Superstar told to seal £150m Chelsea move, Blues to offload Lampard’s favorites player, as Club ready to let £86m Frenchman to Join Chelsea
Harry Kane should seal a transfer to Chelsea this summer and not worry about what Tottenham fans think, according to William Gallas.
He has three years left on his Spurs deal and will command a huge transfer fee if he does move on this summer, but that has not stopped rumours that the likes of Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea are ready to keep him in the Premier League
“Harry Kane has to leave Tottenham this summer,” he told Ladbrokes at the launch of their new European Championships 5-a-side Bet.
“He’s a top-class striker, and top-class strikers have to play at big, big clubs. Clubs who can win trophies. Tottenham can’t give him that.
“Harry’s played for Tottenham for many years, and he’s been the top scorer in the league in almost every season, but at the end of the season he’s never lifted a trophy.”
He says that while it might be difficult for Kane to deal with the Tottenham fans’ unhappiness, he should be selfish and join Thomas Tuchel’s side, who have just won the Champions League.
“If he had the choice between, let’s say, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, I think he’d go abroad because he doesn’t want to offend fans,” Gallas said.
“But if he doesn’t have a choice and he can only go to Chelsea, he has to go there. I know it will be difficult for fans, but you have to accept the choice of the player.
“For me, I chose to stay in London during my time in the Premier League because it was about my family as well. I had an opportunity to go to AC Milan after Chelsea but it didn’t happen. “Arsenal came in for me and I said: ‘OK, I’ll go there’. I knew fans wouldn’t be happy, but I told myself I gave five years of my life for Chelsea and I gave everything for the club.
“I didn’t cheat on them because I always gave 100 per cent. When I moved to Tottenham, again I was thinking about my family so the decision was simple. “I know for the fans it’s really difficult to understand that, even now some fans still call me ‘Judas’, but I don’t have a problem with that.
“I have a life away from football and I have to think about my family. It would be different if I was born in England and I was a Chelsea fan, for example. But I’ve never been a fan of any club, even when I was younger.
“The fans have to understand, and if they were in our position, maybe they’d have made the decisions I made.”
Chelsea looking to offload star loved by Lampard
Given that Chelsea were revitalised under Thomas Tuchel to such an extent that they ended the 2020/21 campaign by becoming European champions for the second time in their history, the German arguably has carte blanche to mould the Blues squad as he sees fit.
There’s little doubt that despite the first-team squad dancing to Tuchel’s tune in the latter half of the campaign, the squad has Frank Lampard’s stamp all over it.
To that end, some of his players haven’t found favour under Tuchel, and one highly-rated star in particular could be on the way out.
According to Calciomercato, cited by SportWitness, Chelsea will now listen to offers for Hakim Ziyech.
Injury prone in the first half of the season, he didn’t score in the second half and only managed a solitary assist.
It’s believed that Stefano Pioli at AC Milan could be about to offer the former Ajax man a way out, with representatives of the Italian giants already having met with Chelsea’s intermediary.

Bayern Munich would reportedly be willing to sell Kingsley Coman to Chelsea this summer, if the asking price is met
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will look to add a bit more quality to his squad in the transfer window as there has been some reports in the media that Roman Abramovic will give the German a £200 million transfer kitty.
And that has led to some reports in the media that Chelsea are very much interested in trying to secure the services of Coman from Bayern Munich by the end of the transfer window.
Coman still has two years left to run on his Bayern contract but negotiations over a new one have stalled, prompting transfer rumours and it seems the German club would entertain offers.
The 24-year-old winger contributed eight goals and 12 assists in 39 appearances for Bayern last season as Coman added another Bundesliga title to his trophy collection.
Coman’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has begun testing the waters in England to gauge possible interest in his client, with reports claiming he wants a yearly wage of £13.7-14.6million (€16-17m) to sign another deal with the Bavarian giants – terms Bayern technical director Marco Neppe will not accept.
Bild have reported therefore that Bayern would be willing to sell the French winger and Fussball Transfers say they want £86m (€100m) for his signature.
However, The report says this asking price is designed to work more of a deterrent than an invitation for offers, with both sides trying to play hard ball in the boardroom.
