“They hate us” – Chelsea fans reacted after latest Premier league decision on Chelsea
Taylor always seems to have an agenda against Chelsea and the draw against Liverpool isn’t the first. He was also in charge of the FA Cup final in 2020 when Chelsea lost to Arsenal at Wembley.
However, Chelsea fans are fearing the worst after Anthony Taylor was picked to referee this weekend’s Premier League game against Brentford.
It comes just six weeks after Chelsea fans started a petition to get Taylor banned from refereeing Chelsea matches after he sent off Reece James and awarded Liverpool a penalty during the 1-1 draw at Anfield.
Chelsea fans believe our chances of beating Brentford have severely dipped following the appointment of Taylor for Saturday’s game and believe the Premier League has an agenda against the Blues.
@LDNFootball tweeted: “Anthony Taylor will referee Chelsea’s next Premier League game against Brentford. We’re in trouble.”
@MrGeorgeBenson tweeted: “Anthony Taylor officiating Brentford vs Chelsea at the weekend. Premier League is obviously disgusted that Chelsea Football Club are top of the league and have demanded it change immediately.”
@FrankKhalidUK tweeted: “Anthony Taylor is going to be the referee for our Brentford game this weekend. Really mystified why he is refereeing another Chelsea game especially with so much controversies in previous Chelsea games he has refereed.”
Another user posted: “Chelsea spend one weekend at the top of the Premier League and the FA put Anthony Taylor in charge of Brentford vs Chelsea this Saturday. They hate us.”
In fact, in 9 games Taylor has officiated Chelsea since 2019-20, the Blues have won three, drawn two and lost four.
