‘They were extremely solid’ – Jody Morris hails Chelsea trio in 2-0 win over Lille
The Blues beat Lille 2-0 in the first leg of the round 16 of Champions League clash.
However, Goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic sealed the home victory for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Meanwhile, Former Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris, was pleased with the team’s performance, and reserved massive praise for Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and forward Kai Havertz.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “They were extremely solid, especially in the second half. They totally controlled the game.”
Morris added: “Thiago Silva was unbelievable – it does not seem like he is getting older one bit.
“Kai Havertz, you have to give the manager credit for picking him and Havertz had one of his best games in a Chelsea shirt. N’Golo Kante was his world-class best too.”
