“They will cook” – Chelsea fans reacts as Football set to get new offside rule that will favour Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson has been one of the players caught offside the most in the Premier League this season.

Jackson likes to play on the edge of the opposition backline, and we’ve seen him miss beating the offside trap by centimetres.

Mykhailo Mudryk also has the pace to beat offside traps, if the margin is favourable. The Ukrainian might just be the fastest player in the Premier League.

However, things might align for Jackson and Mudryk soon, as the International Football Association Board (IFAB) have officially approved further trials of a new offside rule.

Spearheaded by Arsene Wenger, the rule change ‘would see attackers being ruled onside as long as any body part with which they can use to score is in line with the second to last opponent.’

Chelsea fans believe the duo of Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson will benefit from this change, while one even looked back at the era of Timo Werner and also Alvaro Morata.

EmenaIo: “We sold Timo Werner too soon.”

JamieCFC98: “Jackson has drastically improved in my opinion. Just needs to sort this offsides out and get into better spaces.”

Cfc_Cami: “Morata, Werner. Both would have bagged in enough goals at Chelsea if this rule was approved earlier.”

Brown #PochOut: “Mudryk and Jackson are gonna cook.”

Gold227303: “I agree with this so much, so needed, the amount of goals Chelsea, especially Werner had ruled out because of very close offsides is ridiculous.”
