Thiago Silva tells Todd Boehly the marquee Chelsea signing he should sign
It appears like the Chelsea transfer market is heating up as the Blues are seriously considering making some incredible acquisitions.
Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, has already advised new owner Todd Boehly on which star player to bring in.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain, therefore Thiago Silva has asked him to join him at Chelsea this summer.
Neymar is rumored to be considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer and is reportedly unhappy by the lack of guarantees he has gotten from those in control at Parc des Princes. If the 30-year-old would remain at the club after this summer, President Nasser Al-Khelaifi declined to say.
Although it is now just rumor, Chelsea has been mentioned as a potential destination for Neymar, and it appears that former PSG captain Silva is in favor of the concept.
“He has to go to Chelsea,” Silva said. “If it happens, it will be for the best. Nothing else needs to be said. “So far, I don’t know anything, but I hope it comes to fruition.”
When Neymar was still playing for Santos in Brazil in 2010, Chelsea chased him. Santos openly rejected the Blues’ offer and announced the young player was about to sign a new deal.
Neymar would have the opportunity to team up with Silva once more if he moved to Chelsea, and he would also be working for former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, who now has more influence over the team’s transfer policy following the departures of chairman Bruce Buck and directors Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech.
Tuchel is looking to add to his assault this summer, but he is not said to be interested in re-signing Neymar, whose contract still has five years left on it.
Instead, the Blues are interested in Raheem Sterling of Manchester City and upcoming free agent Ousmane Dembele, who is expected to decide on his future in the coming days when his contract with Barcelona expires.
At Stamford Bridge, Raphinha from Leeds United, Richarlison from Everton, and Antony from Ajax are also candidates.
