This Stats Proves Hazard Is The Best In England As He Sets Record With His Goal Against Bournemouth

Chelsea star Eden Hazard came off the bench to score the only goal of the game as Chelsea beat Bournemouth to progress to the semifinal of the Carabao Cup.

His goal against Bournemouth means Hazard has had a hand in 19 goals in all competitions this season (10 goals and nine assists); the most of any Premier League player.

Here are all the stats from our victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday night

Chelsea had 25 shots of which 12 were on target and one hit the woodwork. Nine of our shots were blocked by a Bournemouth player.

Olivier Giroud, Willian and Ross Barkley all had four attempts. Eden Hazard and Emerson had three.

Chelsea restricted Bournemouth to three on-target efforts, blocking six of their 11 overall.

Chelsea had a 72.7 per cent share of possession and had, cumulatively, over 1100 touches of the ball.

Our pass completion rate was 91.41 per cent, our fourth best figure of the campaign so far. Only in the away win against Newcastle have we completed more successful passes in a game (839 at St James’ Park to 819 last night).

Mateo Kovacic was our most successful passer, with 113, closely followed by Cesar Azpilicueta (112), Cesc Fabregas (96) and Antonio Rudiger (94).

Ruben Loftus-Cheek completed a joint-game high of four dribbles against Bournemouth, the same as Kovacic.

Chelsea won 70 per cent of the aerial duels contested. Our centre-back partners Rudiger and Andreas Christensen won four apiece. No visiting player was successful in the air more than once.

Rudiger and Christensen made fives clearances each, more than anyone in blue, and the German and Loftus-Cheek’s two interceptions was also a Chelsea-high figure. Fabregas was our top tackler, winning three challenges.
