Thomas Muller has send a massive message to Chelsea ahead of Champions league clash
Bayern Munich Thomas Muller feels confident ahead of the German side’s visit to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
However, The 30-year-old is one of the veterans of this team (he was Bayern’s only goalscorer in THAT Champions League final), but this will be the first game at Chelsea’s home ground.
“You’d think you would have seen all the great European stadiums after more than 100 Champions League games but I was never at Stamford Bridge and I’m really looking forward it,” Muller told The Athletic.
“Chelsea have young, talented players and a quality team that can really hurt you. We need to be well-prepared for their particular strengths. But they’re not the best team in Europe right now and we don’t need to be afraid. I’m confident.”
Bayern are in brilliant form right now: they suffered their last defeat on December 7 (2-1 to Borussia Monchengladbach). Since then, they have won 10 out of 11 games in all competitions in the run-up to the CL encounter.
Chelsea can’t boast the same numbers: the Blues have only won 7 out of 15 matches in the same period. However, they will be hoping to build on their triumph over Tottenham on Saturday.
