Timo Werner Chelsea decision made after difficult start, as Tuchel confirms three signings wanted

Timo Werner boasted one of the best goalscoring records before the Blues signed him from RB Leipzig last summer.

However, the German international has struggled to replicate his goalscoring form at Chelsea.

Due to Chelsea’s struggles in front of goal, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is keen on signing a clinical striker this summer, with the Blues interested in Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland.

With Chelsea interested in signing Haaland and Lukaku, Tuchel has reportedly made his decision on Werner’s future as a Chelsea player.

According to Daily Mail, Werner, who also scored 12 times, is set to still be part of Tuchel’s squad next season but will face extra competition for places.

Tuchel confirms three signings wanted

Thomas Tuchel has opened up and announced he is looking to sign two or three signings for Chelsea in the summer.

Despite enjoying domestic and continental success in 2020-21, the club saw only three players reach double figures in terms of goals scored, and they will be in need of adding a striker to the attack.

Thiago Silva is one of the best defenders in the game still, but he is right at the back end of his playing days at the top of the game, meaning that the club will need to find a immediate replacement for the Brazilian.

While adding a new midfielder to the squad to give the side something different will also be on the mind of Tuchel, who will be hoping to win another Champions League title while adding the Premier League title to that cabinet.

Now Tuchel has admitted that he is hoping to chase down a number of targets, telling reporters on his recruitment plans: “Two or three could be very, very good.

“It’s a constant thing to never deny change.

“That you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it’s a good thing.”

After the start that he has had as boss, Tuchel will surely get the money that he needs to sign the players that will indeed help improve the squad, and to be honest, it should be another exciting transfer window for the fans.

We cannot wait to see who arrives
