Todd Boehly finally reveals why Bruce Buck left Chelsea and what the future holds for Mariana
A new era has begun at Chelsea, with new owner Todd Bohely making significant changes to the Chelsea board of directors.
Chelsea have stated that chairman Bruce Buck will stand down from his position on June 30, according to the latest story we received this morning. He will continue to serve as a consultant to the club. He’s been a member of the club since 2003.
It’s worth mentioning that the CEO situation has altered as well, with David Barnard being promoted to the board of directors after Tenenbaum was sanctioned. Behind the scenes, there’s a lot going on.
Todd Boehly said after Bruce Buck departure: “Bruce has led Chelsea to the highest levels of international and domestic football, while also developing one of the most active social responsibility projects in sport. We thank Bruce for his service & his commitment to the Club.”
After Bruce Buck, Marina Granovskaia could be the next key Chelsea member set to leave. Todd Boehly will replace Bruce Buck as Chairman!
Bruce Buck message to Chelsea and supporters on why he makes those changes:
“I am proud to have helped Chelsea realise great success on the pitch and make a positive impact in the community. Now is the right time to step down and let new ownership build on the strong foundations we have in place.”
“The owners have a compelling vision for Chelsea’s future, and I look forward to helping them achieve it in this new role alongside our incredible staff, players, coaches and supporters.”
