Todd Boehly  told Mauricio Pochettino to use £325,000K a-week star next season

Reports have claimed that Todd Boehly has told Mauricio Pochettino to use Romelu Lukaku next season at Chelsea.

According to the Mail Online, the Argentine is open to the possibility of a return at Stamford Bridge for the Belgium international.

It was certainly a mixed loan spell for Lukaku this season as he got his wish to return to Inter Milan on a temporary basis.

Injuries plagued the beginning of his campaign, which certainly had an effect on his performances at the World Cup late last year.

However, when he found fitness he began to find the net, pushing for a start in the Champions League final a week ago. He was used off the bench in this game, although missed a glorious chance from close range late in the day.

After that, he is set to return to Stamford Bridge for now, whether he wants to or not.

All the reports have claimed that he is hoping to return to the Serie A side next season, even rejecting a big-money deal to move to Saudi Arabia next season.

It has previously been claimed that Pochettino would not be against utilising Lukaku next season, as he looks for the best possible way to solve the goalscoring problems that plagued the club last season.

They are reportedly close to signing Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal, with his talents on full display in the last few weeks of the La Liga season.

However, they will be safe in the knowledge that he is not going to be the permanent answer to their issues in front of goal, and will likely be looking for a proven regular goalscorer to also come in this summer.
