Top 23-year-old agrees five-year deal with Chelsea FC – report

Daniele Rugani has agreed a five-year deal with Chelsea FC – but Juventus are not currently willing to sell the defender, according to reports in the British media.

The Evening Standard is reporting that the 23-year-old Juventus defender has agreed personal terms with the west London side ahead of his proposed move to Stamford Bridge.

However, the same report claims that Juventus currently have no intention of selling the Italy international this summer.

Chelsea FC have been strongly linked with a move to sign Rugani this summer as new boss Maurizio Sarri looks to add to his options at the back ahead of next season.

The same story says that negotiations between Chelsea FC and Juventus over a fee for Rugani continue to “drag on”.

Chelsea FC are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the title next season.

The Blues completed their second signing of the summer last week when they tied up a deal to bring veteran goalkeeper Rob Green to Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Jorginho earlier this month.
