Tuchel finally reveals what he changed in the second half that beats Real Madrid
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel revealed after our 2-0 victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night that the Blues deserved to win.
Tuchel also admitted Chelsea suffered in the first as Real Madrid dominated possession but revealed he changed the structure of the team in the second half.
Tuchel told BT Sport: “We deserved to win.
“The first half was difficult because they had a lot of possession and made us suffer, but every ball from us was dangerous.
“We never lost the hunger, the desire to defend.
“In the second half we had even better structure to defend and it was a fantastic performance.
“We could have scored so much earlier and more to be safe, but it’s no time for criticism now. It’s a fantastic achievement; big congratulations to the team.”
