Tuchel looking to bring 31-goal hitman to Chelsea, as Arsenal told to wrap up £40m exiting Chelsea star after Tuchel drop him
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are ready to offer Brentford striker Ivan Toney a big move to the Premier League.
Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he will need to add another striker to the attack in the transfer window as Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud are two players that will be seeking moves away from the Bridge
There has been alot of talk that the likes of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland could be players that make the move to the Bridge, but Icfootballnews has now learned that Chelsea are looking into the idea of landing Toney from Brentford.
Toney had never played in the second tier prior to joining the west London club for an initial £5m as Ollie Watkins’ replacement last August, but despite the pressure, he had taken to it like a duck to water.
Toney has now eclipsed all of those who fell short before him and broken Glenn Murray’s record of the most goals scored in a Sky Bet Championship campaign, since the division’s rebrand in 2004, by hitting his 31st goal of the season in the Bees’ 3-1 win over Bristol City.
Big, powerful and full on quality, Toney has been tipped to make a big money move to a Premier League club in the summer, with Tottenham also reportedly ready to offer him a contract
Chelsea will have alot of money to spend in the transfer window, but Toney’s £35 million price tag would be seen as a real bargain. So even though he has alot to prove in the game, if the reports are true, he could be a very deadly striker for the Blues.
Mikel Arteta told to wrap up £40 million deal and bring exiting Chelsea star to Arsenal
Former England international Trevor Sinclair has told West Ham and Arsenal they should splash the cash this summer and sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
Abraham is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as he struggles for game time under Thomas Tuchel as he wants to join a club that will give him a bit more game time.
However, the Blues are said to want in the region of £40million for the 23-year-old, as fee that has reportedly been putting off the likes of Arsenal and West Ham, who reportedly value the striker around the £25 million mark.
But amid all the speculation, Sinclair has come out and told both clubs that they should splash the cash and try to get a deal done for the Chelsea ace.
Sinclair told talkSPORT: “Abraham would be a great match for West Ham. It’s what they want, it’s what they need with [Michail] Antonio’s injuries.
“He tends to pick up quite a lot of muscular because he is an absolute unit. The West Ham fans would love Abraham.
“He’s got everything. Arsenal could do with him, too. [Alexandre] Lacazette is getting older. He’d be a hold-up player, bringing something slightly different with his height.
“He’s mobile, he’s got good feet, he could be a good pick for Arsenal.
“But he’s obviously a talented player. I’m a big fan of his. I just want to see him playing football.
“If he’s not developing and continuing to improve as a player, he’s standing still and that’s not great for a young player.”
