“Tuchel system suits him, He’s in the best form of his life” – Ferdinand reveals what Chelsea player must do after latest club transfer decision

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea and Chelsea are trying to get the German sign a new deal.

However, the German International is in the form of his life under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, and the 28-year-old man is now being hailed as one of the best centre-backs in the world.

However, reports have it that Chelsea and Rudiger’s representatives are yet to reach an agreement over a new deal, and the German is attracting massive interest from abroad.

Well, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has hailed the form of Rudiger, but has urged him to remain at the club.

According to Ferdinand, Rudiger is already at a top club that can win trophies and going to another club will not give him same assurances.

“I’d stay,” said Ferdinand when asked what he would do in Rudiger’s position. “I’d sign because you’ve got a genuine chance of winning the Premier League and European competitions.

“Tuchel’s come in and changed the fortunes of all those players lives, as Tuchel system suits him. They won the Champions League immediately and I watched Chelsea last weekend and they’re formidable.

“They are a team. Rudiger’s playing the best football I’ve ever seen. As a player do you risk changing that, and risk a downturn in form and performance and risk it by going somewhere else. I only see Bayern Munich as being on the same level. I think Bayern Munich are above Chelsea.

“But if he goes to Bayern Munich he’s going to be in a genuinely important league and he’s got a chance of winning the Champions League with the players there.

“I can’t see him going to Real Madrid and Barcelona where the teams are in transition. If you’re looking at Champions League they’re behind Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

“I was offered to go to big clubs during my Manchester United career but I stayed based on the fact I thought I had more chance of winning the Champions League and league titles at Man United than at the other teams.”
