Tuchel tells Abramovich he wants £100 million rated Premier League midfielder at Chelsea

Fresh reports have claimed that Thomas Tuchel has told Roman Abramovic that he would like Declan Rice at Chelsea next season.

After fully establishing himself at the Hammers and at International level, Rice quickly became a transfer target for former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard last summer, but the board were not willing to part with £80 million.

And their interest in the midfielder seemed to disappear with the arrival of Tuchel, who has a few other targets that he has been eyeing up over the last few months in order to win back that Premier League title next season.

However, The Daily Express has reported that Tuchel has told the Chelsea board that he would like to see Rice signed in the summer, although his asking price is now closer to £100 million.

Tuchel would have seen little of Rice before replacing Lampard at the start of the year but the Telegraph say he has quickly become a fan of the England international and has recommended him to club chief Marina Granovskaia

However, amid all the speculation that Chelsea are once again keen on a transfer deal, Moyes has come out and warned the Blues, and any other club that are interested, that Rice is not for sale

Moyes told Sky Sports: “I don’t think [co-owners] David Sullivan, David Gold or myself have got any intention of losing Declan Rice. We’ve just qualified for Europe, it’s a brilliant achievement. Declan has been a big part of that and we want him to be a big part of what we do next year as well.”

Tuchel will get funds to buy the players that he wants, so it will be interesting to see if Rice is one of the players that he brings to the club to help improve that already impressive squad that he has.
