Tuchel tells Boehly to sign £200,000-a-week player in few hours
Chelsea had to do everything in their power to replace two of its strikers before the summer transfer window closed.
Additionally, according to the most recent rumours, club owner Todd Boehly has been instructed by manager Thomas Tuchel to sign Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as soon as possible.
According to Spanish publication Sport, Tuchel is urging Boehly to intensify discussion that would see them sign the former Arsenal captain from Camp Nou to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Tuchel is keen for Chelsea to sign Aubameyang, so he has pleaded to Boehly, including the club’s hierarchy, to make one last effort to wrap up a deal within hours.
The German and Aubameyang were together at Borussia Dortmund.
According to the reports, the Blues have offered €20million (£17million) for the 33-year-old, but the Catalans hope they can receive more cash with add-ons.
The reports added that there is already an agreement in principle for Aubameyang to sign a three-year contract with Chelsea.
Also, it seems the deal could happen in a matter of hours as Aubameyang seemed to wave goodbye to fans last night amid rumours of returning to England.
