Tuchel’s thought on Eden Hazard’s return finally revealed
According to latest reports, Chelsea have been linked with a shock move for Belgium international Eden Hazard as they seek to give him a second spell at the Stamford Bridge.
The West London outfit have been on the case of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund and it is already getting clear that he will not be leaving the club this summer window as the Bundesliga outfit is not interested in parting ways with the striker.
Eden Hazard’s stay at Real Madrid has not been successful after a big-money move, he has been battling injury and his performance has been below expectations.
Now it is understood that Thomas Tuchel is ‘in no hurry’ to sign another winger, as he already has Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech at his disposal.
Speaking in May, however, Eden Hazard insisted a return to the Premier League was ‘out of the question.’
He said: “I still have a three-year contract with Real Madrid, so going back to England is out of the question.
“Everyone knows that my first two years were not good, so first I want to prove myself at Real Madrid. I will do everything to do that.
“I certainly don’t see myself leaving Madrid, given the contract situation.
“I know myself and I know when I’m in shape. If that’s the case, I can give it my all for Real next season. That’s my plan.”
Meanwhile, in April, Thomas Tuchel hailed Hazard saying “He is a top quality player and a key player for many years at this club and this league, the hardest in the world.
“So consistent. I have the biggest respect for him. He is a big player, we have many people here who know him well.
“He was a key player for this club now he plays for Real Madrid.”
