‘Two players out! as Chelsea confirmed full squad for Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham
Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last week and are in a good position to progress to the final of the competition.
However, The Blues will face London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later tonight for the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final tie.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be without Ben Chilwell, Reece James and Edouard Mendy for the game against Tottenham Hotspur. Chilwell is out for the rest of the season, James is out for two months due a hamstring injury while Mendy is representing Senegal at the AFCON.
Trevoh Chalobah was forced off injured in the entertaining 2-2 draw against Liverpool and is unlikely to be involved against Tottenham.
Captain Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to return for the game against Tottenham after he was forced off injured in the first-leg at Stamford Bridge.
Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante have been isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 but could return for the game against Tottenham Hotspur later today if they test negative.
