UCL: Lionel Messi sends strong Champions League warning message to Chelsea
According to PSG forward Lionel Messi does not see Chelsea as a serious threat to his Paris Saint-Germain side in the Champions League.
The Argentina man believes Paris Saint-Germain have five serious rivals when it comes to winning this season’s UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea, the current holders of the competition, are set to face French club Lille in the round of 16 next week, as Thomas Tuchel looks to retain the European crown.
Speaking to Spanish news outlet Marca, via the Mirror, Messi was pressed on which teams he saw as possible contenders for the trophy.
He said: “Today, Liverpool is doing very well, it has once again been the Liverpool that won the Champions League. Then there are [Manchester] City, Bayern [Munich], [Real] Madrid and Atletico [Madrid].”
