UEFA release ‘massive update’ on Chelsea’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich

All of next week’s Champions League and Europa League games, including Chelsea’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich, have been suspended by UEFA.

Chelsea’s game against Bayern Munich had been scheduled to take place behind closed doors but it has now been suspended.

UEFA took the decision due to the spread of the Coronavirus in Europe which has also seen several footballers including our own Callum Hudson-Odoi contract the virus.

Further decisions on when these matches take place will be communicated in due course.

As a consequence of the postponements, the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League quarter-final draws scheduled for 20 March have also been postponed.
