(Video): £80m Chelsea target epic reaction to weekend game finally revealed

Wesley Fofana, a defender for Leicester City, was not included in the team that fell to Southampton on Saturday, losing 2-1.

Given Chelsea’s interest and Brendan Rodgers’ admission that he wasn’t in the “proper frame of mind” to play against the Saints, Fofana is attempting to force a transfer.

At the King Power Stadium, Fofana was a spectator as he watched his colleagues compete.

When James Maddison scored a goal for the Foxes, the teenage defender, who was seated next to his girlfriend, showed no emotion as the crowd surrounding him cheered.

Captioning the clip, the Foxes fan wrote: “Fofana overjoyed at Maddison’s goal just now.”

Brendan Rodgers was asked about Fofana’s situation over the weekend.

Asked if Fofana would be disappointed if he stays back at the King Power, Rodgers said: “I’m not sure. It all depends on the player. You can’t always say for definite how it’s going to be.

“For some players when the window shuts it’s a good moment because they can totally focus on playing again and getting on with their careers.

“Some players may feel they have lost the opportunity of a dream. They may just never be the same so that’s always the danger.”
