(video) chelsea wing-back victor moses provides superb assist for nigeria against iceland

Victor Moses was on-form for Nigeria during their 2-0 win over Iceland on Friday evening.

The Super Eagles needed to secure all three-points in order to have any hope of progressing through the group stage, and did so in impressive fashion.

Former Leicester City man Ahmed Musa bagged a brace during the game. He’ll dominate the headlines in his home country in the morning, but he wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help of his Nigerian teammates.

Moses played a starring role in his country’s opening goal. He played an excellent ball into the Iceland penalty area, which was controlled superbly and finished in emphatic fashion by the grateful Musa.

It remains to be seen whether Maurizio Sarri will find room for Moses in his Chelsea squad. Sarri is likely to revert to a back-four, which leaves Moses in limbo.

If he performs in this manner throughout the World Cup, though, he will be impossible to ignore.
