(Video): Player says goodbye to fans ahead of his move to Chelsea
Chelsea and Barcelona have been in communication regarding the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Barcelona rejected Chelsea’s initial offer of £12.6 million last week.
The 33-year-old striker is again in the crosshairs for the Blues after they sent Barcelona an enhanced new bid of £16.9 million for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Although Barca want a bit more than what Chelsea have offered, both clubs are reportedly closer to agreeing a fee.
Meanwhile, Aubameyang has dropped a massive hint that his time as a Barcelona player is over.
Journalist Samuel Marsden posted a video which seemed to show Aubameyang wave goodbye to Barca fans, as he was substituted in the second half of a charity friendly game against Manchester City.
It seemed to be an emotional-looking Aubameyang saying goodbye during the friendly at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.
After three games this season, Chelsea’s front three of Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount are yet to find the net – which is prompting an urgent move from the club to sign Aubameyang.
