‘Waiting for final green light’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Chelsea offer target 5year contract as deal set to be completed
According to reports, Chelsea allegedly feels more confident today about finalizing the Jules Kounde trade.
However, Since Chelsea attempted to sign the Sevilla defender last summer as well, the situation has been a real saga that has lasted for more than a year. Unfortunately, Sevilla’s asking price was not met at the time by The Blues.
But this time, at least in the opinion of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, it appears that they have matched the asking price of the Spanish club. Additionally, he has good news on the contract terms, indicating that the personal terms won’t be an issue either.
Why then the delay? Romano claims that Chelsea are merely awaiting Sevilla’s approval of the transaction, with Barcelona continuing to be a potential suitor in the background. However, as Romano notes below, they haven’t yet offered Kounde any proposals.
However, Chelsea must exert effort to finish this as soon as possible.
