‘Was it so difficult?’: Edouard Mendy calls out FIFA after latest decision FIFA Men’s award
Edouard Mendy alongside Allison, Donnarumma, Kasper Schmeichel and Manuel Neuer have been Nominated under the Category of Best Men’s Goalkeeper in the FIFA the Best Awards.
However, Mendy is one of the five nominees for FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. FIFA shared this graphic on their Instagram page, sharing images of all the nominees:
Do you notice anything odd here? Well, Mendy did as he shared this graphic on his Instagram story with a strong caption:
“2 days I’m looking at this post and trying to understand why but I still didn’t get it. Is it normal I’m the only one without the jersey of my country Senegal. Is it fair for Senegal”, Mendy wrote.
In the First picture posted on FIFA Official World Cup page, the Senegalese national team Instagram page also pleaded with FIFA to put Senegal Jersey on Edouard Mendy
They wrote: @fifaworldcup please put Senegal Jersey on @edou_mendy
However, In another picture, the Player thanked an Unidentified fellow for displaying his picture on a Senegal Jersey while still calling out FIFA.
He wrote: Thanks to the guy who did this. @fifaworldcup I wasn’t as difficult?
