‘What a bombshell’- Peter Crouch makes big prediction for Tottenham vs Chelsea clash on Monday
Chelsea and Tottenham set to meet next week, a fixture Peter Crouch doesn’t expect to be an easy one for his former side.
The former Tottenham striker is skeptical about the possibilities of his former club easily producing a win against a struggling Chelsea side after watching the Blues dismantle Blackburn Rovers to advance into the quarter finals stage of the Carabao Cup.
Tottenham on the other hand have been a very good side in the Premier League currently, leading the table and maintaining their unbeaten run. The North Londoners are yet to lose any game this season.
However, Peter Crouch isn’t blinding his eyes to the fact that Blues may stun Spurs on the derby Monday. “I can not pretend that there is no threat, of course there is,” Crouch said.
“We are in a good form, an impressive and fulfilling one for that matter but fixtures like this you got to be very careful. It’s fixture like this that turns things around if you don’t handle them with care.
“Of course we are favorites fo win, but that could come at a cost if we don’t handle it well. I believe we will still win if only we contain them well and not make silly mistakes cause teams like this can rely on that to finish off the game.”
