What Kai Havertz teammates have been telling the Chelsea transfer target

Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz is high on Chelsea’s shopping list, and the 21-year-old German star could be the third signing in the Chelsea team.

According to reports, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has held positive talks with Havertz, with agreement with the player already in place. However, Chelsea and Leverkusen are yet to agree over the transfer fee.

Bayer Leverkusen player Nadiem Amiri has now revealed that Leverkusen players have been teasing Kai Havertz about his future amid the transfer speculations, and it appears that they are resolved to losing the 21-year-old, as he maintains that no one has asked him directly about his future at the club.

Asked about the speculation surrounding Havertz, Leverkusen midfielder Amiri told SPORT1: “We don’t want to talk about it at all.

“In training we are very relaxed, nobody would go there and speak to him and ask: ‘What are you doing now?’ “The boy is concerned with that himself.”

He added: “I hope he makes the right decision. “There are always a few jokes and a few things said. ‘But we need Kai! We also have to leave his head alone.”
