Why I prefer Chelsea move over PSG – Victor Osimhen reveals

Victor Osimhen of Napoli may be headed to Chelsea rather than PSG, as per Vincenzo D’Angelo of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

At the end of the current campaign, the Nigerian forward hopes to move on from Napoli in search of fresh challenges.

Osimhen’s release clause is worth between €120 million and €130 million, and both PSG and Chelsea have expressed interest in him for a while.

Direct conversations with the player are permitted by the release clause, but it’s anticipated that both teams will shortly begin discussions with Napoli to attempt to lower the transfer fee.

Osimhen is particularly attracted to the idea of playing for Chelsea, inspired by his admiration for Chelsea legend Didier Drogba and his aspiration to compete in the Premier League.

While PSG might highlight their stronger position in Europe to sway him, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer a significant salary increase from his current €10 million annual earnings in Naples, along with a prominent role in the team.

Chelsea’s offer could also benefit Napoli financially, as club president Aurelio De Laurentiis looks to possibly secure permanent deals for Romelu Lukaku and a promising young player, along with a transfer fee of at least €80 million.

With Osimhen’s potential departure, Napoli anticipates an active summer transfer window as they aim to refresh their squad following a disappointing season.
