Why incoming Chelsea’s new owner should consider bringing Cesc Fabregas back to Chelsea’s trainee team
After completing the deal for Chelsea’s ownership, Todd Boehly, the club’s potential new owner, may set out on a serious mission to turn the club into one of the world’s most dangerous elite clubs, similar to Liverpool, Real Madrid, and others.
However, Boehly, on the other hand, should explore bringing Cesc Fabregas back to Stamford Bridge.
Reason: Fabregas can assist Chelsea in establishing creative midfielders:
Chelsea’s lineup is devoid of creative midfielders capable of contributing numerous assists, as Cesc Fabregas did during his time at the club. Chelsea’s midfielders may be excellent at distributing balls between themselves, but their ability to generate opportunities for forwards to score goals is pitiful.
Cesc Fabregas is a midfielder as well, although during his time at Arsenal and Chelsea, he won the English Premier League midfielder with the most assists accolade. Fabregas wasn’t a great dribbler, but his ability to spot and distribute vital passes to any attacker or striker making a break through defenders is inconceivable.
Chelsea’s midfielders lack such talent, which could be another reason why Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, Chelsea’s strikers, have struggled this season.
I believe Fabregas, if he returns to Chelsea, can instill such creativity in Chelsea’s midfielders, particularly in Gallagher, Loftus-Cheek, and other young midfielders.
